Rentals 

How does the rental process work?

 

  1. Browse our catalogue online or view it via WhatsApp on 082 967 6403.

  2. Select the gown(s) and/or accessories you would like.

  3. Make payment securely online through our website or via EFT.  Please note: we can only release rental garments once funds have reflected in our account.

  4. Receive your delivery, enjoy your special moment, and capture it beautifully - we would love to see your beautiful pictures.

  5. Use the provided return waybill (included in your delivery package) to return your rental garments on the agreed date. Please keep the waybill safe until collection.

How long may I keep the rental garments?

The standard rental period is 3 (three) days, excluding the day of delivery and the day of return.

Example: If your dress arrives on Friday, the garments must be returned by Tuesday.

 

Can I try on dresses before renting?

No. Gravida Atelier operates exclusively online, and fittings are not available.

What does “rental garments” mean?

“Rental garments” refers to any gown(s) and/or accessories you rent from Gravida Atelier.

​

Do you have the dresses in different sizes or colours?

Our gowns are available in selected sizes (generally S–XL). Not every gown comes in every size.

Each gown is available in a single colour, as shown in the catalogue.

 

How does delivery work?

We use a counter-to-counter courier for nationwide delivery. Delivery charges are displayed at checkout.

A return waybill is included with your order and must be presented when returning the garments.

How long will delivery take?

Our courier usually delivers within 2–3 working days. We recommend booking your rental at least 5 working days before your shoot or event to allow enough time.

 

Can I reserve a gown for a future event?

Yes. You may reserve a gown or accessories in advance. Please let us know your preferred item(s) and event date, and we will guide you through the reservation process.

 

Can I arrange my own courier?

No. For quality control and insurance purposes, we only use our approved delivery partners.

What happens if I don’t return the rental garments on time?

A late return fee of 15% of the rental fee per day will be deducted from your deposit.

Garment Care

Should I clean the dress before returning it?

No. Our gowns require specialised cleaning. Gravida Atelier will handle all cleaning.

What if the dress is stained or damaged?

Reasonable wear and tear is expected and will not be charged.

Significant damage, alterations, or permanent stains may result in repair costs being deducted from your deposit or, in severe cases, replacement value being charged.

Please notify us immediately if a stain occurs — we can often advise on steps to prevent permanent damage.

Payments & Deposits

How much does a rental cost?

Rental fees are shown in our online and WhatsApp catalogues.

A refundable security deposit of 50% of the rental fee is payable in addition to the rental amount. ​

How do I make payment?

Via online payment on our website, or

By EFT into our Tyme business account.

Note: Rental garments will only be released once funds have cleared in our account.

When will my deposit be refunded?

Refunds are processed within 2–3 business days after the garments are returned and inspected.
